Executive & Career Coaching
Coaching is built on ownership, clarity, and disciplined action. I offer structured engagements designed to create focus and measurable progress—whether you are navigating a career move, refining your leadership, or making critical business decisions.
Coaching is not open‑ended. It is intentional, focused, and outcome‑driven, with an emphasis on honoring your obligations, practicing stoic discipline, and staying in the present moment where you have the most control. We work from the principle that while we cannot control everything, we can control our thoughts, our responses, and—very often—what happens next.
Below, you’ll find a selection of coaching packages and advisory engagements, each built to meet you where you are. Every option combines clear structure with flexibility, offering direct access, a real‑time perspective, and continued support between sessions.
This work is grounded in my role as Founder of Hunter Ambrose, after two decades advising organizations and placing executive leaders. I bring real‑time market insight and a practical understanding of how decisions are made at senior levels into every coaching engagement. I’ve been honored to work with professionals and emerging leaders in healthcare, finance, private wealth, public utilities, and start-ups.

Only by putting yourself first can you sustainably serve others.
Our work together is a focused, one‑to‑one conversation about your career, leadership, and future self—so you can show up with more clarity, capacity, and intention in every other part of your life.
Servant leadership begins with your vision. Together, we define a clear, articulate vision for your career, life, and future self, then translate it into practical steps you can take now.
Sometimes we’re not our best resource.
In a job search or leadership role, it’s easy to get stuck in imposter syndrome, outdated stories about yourself, or a gap between how you see yourself and how others experience you. Together, we work on both perception and portrayal—how you understand your value and how you communicate it—so your presence matches your potential.
Need is Not a Negotiation Point in Compensation
For high-income and emerging leaders, need is not a point of negotiation. In a serious job search, your leverage comes from your ability to SEC inside an organization—to Save, Earn, and Create value. How you communicate your salary range, advocate for yourself, and move from interview to offer quickly and without unnecessary friction is where many searches break down. Nicole has placed thousands of candidates and brings that front‑line recruiting insight directly into your coaching, so you can run a smarter search and negotiate from strength, not desperation.
Know what’s driving your decisions.
Any career move or job search is ultimately driven by a few core factors—location, title, compensation, opportunity, and advancement. Coaching helps you name which of these truly matters most right now so your search is focused, your decisions are cleaner, and your offers actually fit the life you’re building.
What it’s like to work with Nicole
Coaching with me is practical, candid, and future-focused. We start by clarifying what’s truly driving your career or job search—location, title, compensation, opportunity, advancement—and where your future self is asking you to go next. From there, we address the places you’re stuck: imposter syndrome, unclear positioning, or a mismatch between how you show up and the impact you want to have. The work is about putting your best and future self first, then building concrete, immediate steps that move you toward a career and life where you can serve others from a position of strength.
Perception and Protrayal - How are you showing up?
Perception and portrayal are rarely the same thing. How you want to be perceived often conflicts with how you actually show up—in your behavior, communication, and tone. A core focus of coaching with Nicole is aligning those two: understanding how you’re experienced in meetings, how you listen, how you manage projects, and how you use your voice and presence to build trust. When you have a clear sense of self and an equally clear sense of how that self is being portrayed, you can lead with more consistency, credibility, and influence.

Interview & Offer Strategy Session
Nicole Barbano is first class when it comes to career guidance and mentorship. As a Naval Officer preparing to make the transition to the private sector, Nicole offered me the tools and advice I needed to feel confident in my pursuit. Her industry insight is impeccable, and I could not recommend her more to my fellow service members taking the next step into civilian life. Thank you again, Nicole!
Oliver
Nicole is a terrific executive coach. Her guidance is candid and fair while addressing ways to improve a resume, LinkedIn profile, website, and approach to presenting my accomplishments and goals. Nicole understands career transition and offers solutions that help me prepare for interviews and how best to present my capabilities. Her suggestions on use of Ai are spot on. I look forward to staying in touch.
Merlyn
After accepting my first CEO role, it became clear that my leadership style needed to evolve—more present, more engaged, and more aligned with delivering results for the board.
I worked with Nicole weekly for six months through many first-time challenges. Her guidance was direct, practical, and immediately applicable. She helped me build structure, sharpen communication, and operate with greater clarity under pressure.
Today, I continue with monthly executive coaching and have extended her work to my C-suite team. The impact has been consistent and measurable.
The work continues.
Cynthia
Nicole brings clarity, structure, and a direct approach that delivers results.
As a CFO nearing retirement, I was in a difficult position—overqualified for traditional roles but not clearly positioned for fractional work. In a single session, Nicole helped me sharpen how I present my experience and reposition my background for a different market.
She asked the right questions, challenged my thinking, and provided clear, practical direction I could act on immediately.
The session was efficient, focused, and valuable.
I’d recommend Nicole to senior executives navigating transition, reinvention, or a move into fractional leadership.
Richard
Nicole brings clarity, insight, and a direct approach to her coaching. In one focused session, she challenged me to evaluate how I present myself professionally and offered constructive feedback that encouraged deeper reflection. Her ability to ask the right questions and guide the conversation with intention made the experience both productive and thought-provoking.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Nicole and would recommend her to professionals seeking honest guidance and meaningful growth.
